Singa's microcredit

A microcredit to support entrepreneurs with refugee or migrant experiences.

In Switzerland, many entrepreneurs with refugee or migrant experiences face major obstacles in accessing financing due to their administrative status, lack of banking history, or absence of collateral. Yet, financial support of just a few thousand Swiss francs can have a decisive impact on the growth of their business.

At SINGA Switzerland, we have launched a microcredit project to address this concrete need. This initiative is aimed at alumni entrepreneurs of our programs (participants in the Incubator, Bridge, or Accelerator programs within the last three years prior to applying), who have already launched a business and are seeking funding between CHF 5,000 and CHF 10,000.

Objectives and conditions

The objectives of this microcredit are to:

  • Strengthen the economic autonomy of entrepreneurs
  • Promote social and professional inclusion
  • Offer an alternative to traditional financing, which is often inaccessible

Microcredit conditions:

  • Repayment period: 1 to 3 years
  • Interest rate: 5%, intended to cover administrative costs

Applications are reviewed by an investment committee composed of experts from the entrepreneurial and financial sectors. In addition to funding, beneficiaries receive personalized support from SINGA to ensure the sustainability of their project.
